I work for a couple of people who conduct estate sales. I was working a sale last week out in the middle of nowhere. I had been at the cashier table for a couple of hours when I looked up and noticed a big white metal box about 40 feet in front of me. I yelled at the lady who conducts the sale, and asked if it was an Ironrite. She said yes, and opened it up. I looked at it when I got a break. It was a model 95 in very good condition, only missing the roller cover. She wanted $45 for it. In the meantime, I was walking around and saw a Kitchenaid mixer. I saw "Mfg. by Hobart, K5-A" on the band, quickly plugged it in and turned it on. I snatched it up and put it in my "pile" of stuff. It was $6! By the end of the day the Ironrite had not sold, and my boss told me I could have it for $25. I just had to figure out where to put it. I ended up buying it. I now have one, and one for parts if the time comes when I need spare parts. My model 85 will probably retire to my dad's shop until such a time comes when I need something off of it. I was thrilled-an Ironrite and a Kitchenaid K5-A for $31!
