This came across my news feed today:

Laundry Masher is made up of hundreds of specially designed nanosilver-infused ceramic beads which have been tested to be antimicrobial, killing bacteria and odors with every cycle. Laundry Masher is reusable.

Laundry Masher can be used about 200 times before needing a replacement. Laundry Masher is also sustainable. There is no more need to use harmful chemicals which can not only burn the skin and provoke severe allergic reactions, but can also seep into your septic tank or the environment.

Laundry Masher is an insubstantial, thick, and simple exact washing field that you may put into your washing machine rather than using soap powder. It does not have any dangerous chemicals that may harm your family or devour your clothes.

Laundry Masher is a field that accommodates specially made Nano Silver saturated Ceramic balls that act with the water to deep clean fabrics fast!

Laundry Masher works like some sort of magic, with their strange pineapple form pattern it’s now turning out to be the choice of many, and it’s beginning to replace more traditional techniques for washing laundries.

OK, sure... It's "insubstantial and thick" I do not think something can be both at the same time. Fun to read the verbiage, I wonder who wrote this crap.

I read that silver particles that escape into the environment are harmful to aquatic life also.

"Silver nanoparticles are used in some socks, athletic clothing and in industrial applications, but a new study found that when the tiny particles are discharged into water, they are harmful to fish. Clothing is treated with nanosilver for its antimicrobial properties to keep it from smelling. But when the clothing is washed, particles of silver escape and flow into waste water and out into in the environment."
From Radio Canada Oct. 19, 2020 article by Lynn Desjardins.

I wonder how they deal with the silver when the washer drains?

There were washers (Samsung? LG?) a few years ago touting built-in silver antimicrobial treatment. The discs needed replacement after x-number of uses/years/whatever. Seems that feature has disappeared.

Yea, I have tried those and nope they don't work. I have two friends that are you know those Nutty tree huggers- the ones that want everybody to go back to before the Flood,Wheel,Fire.. They give them away for stocking stuffers

They live in a 900Sq foot home, use only solar power and shower with rain water, and there rich .

There two married militant queers I love them but they drive me nuts .

I think they want them to work so bad and to them they do, and god forbid you say they don't.

There was a study of these similar "Ionized water" laundry balls some time ago at University of Missouri, they found that plain tap water was as effective as the balls, though the addition of the silicone rubber balls to the load might improve the agitation action slightly from the thing being batted around the load. Their summary was the best. These products do serve one useful purpose; relieving the overly-gullible of the burden of excess cash.
