Another Loss

A good friend of mine, and of a lot of other club members, Jimmy (filterflo), his mother passed away Friday. Jimmy just wanted to say our thoughs and prayers are with you.

Jimmy, my condolences. I just lost my mom in May. My partner and I are in the process of buying out my sister's interest in Mom's house and have already moved in. We have an 8x10 photo of my mom taken in 1950 (preparing an assembly line of salads) up on the wall in the kitchen to honor her. Same photo we used for her "prayer" card. Everybody loved it.

Now is the time to celebrate your mom's life and to be happy she's in a better place.

My condolences indeed regarding the death of your mother. I lost my mom in 1982, and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. I know she's in a peaceful place, and I know the first few months are the hardest. Eventually, you go on and live your life--but Mom will never be far from your mind. And that's a good thing.

THANK YOU to all, for your kindness..............

A sincere thank you to all who left kind thoughts in regards to the passing of my mother on Sept 5, 2008. It was quite unexpected and my brother and I were overwhelmed with the sense of loss of our beloved mother. She was the kindest and most thoughtful person and I was always so proud to be her son. A special thanks to those of you who sent me private condolences, I love you all and it meant so much to me. Also a special place in my heart for Gary Payne for phoning me and helping me thru some very rough early moments after her death, even offering to drive in and spend a couple of days with me. Gary, your kind heart deserves a bronze medal. ALSO a very special thanks to Tom Anderson from the vacuum club for his support and presence during calling hours. Tom, that meant the world to me.
