My sister has a Magic Chef stove in her basement that she no longer wants. I would love to have it, but have no space for it. It came with her house, and she has no desire to keep it. To the best of my knowledge, it is a 30's or 40's model. I can probably get a pic at sometime, but don't have one now. I want to prevent it from going to the crusher and don't want to fool with on line selling sites. Anyone have a suggestion as to how to sell it? Anyone here interested? It is in excellent condition, except for one cracked drawer handle.

size?

i guess size does matter in some instances!...it is a 40" range and stands on legs.....

thanks for the offer and i will call him tonight...

Possible buyer?

Check thread #15363. This references an appliance store in Raebun County, Georgia that specializes in older stoves and refrigerators. They may possibly be interested in buying it and/or you can post an ad for it to sell on their website. I would suggest giving their website a good looking over. Is the stove gas or eletric?? I might possibly be interested in it myself. Please email me with the deatils about it and a picture of it (email is on my profile). I have been restoring an older house over the last couple of years and am thinking of getting a vintage stove.

Thanks!

Antique Appliances

It's been my experience that while Antique Appliances is a wonderful business, they also are very selective about what they will buy and where they might go.

Last year I asked if they might want to buy some of the 165+ old fridges a friend of mine had and was told basically no.

I admire the folks that restore vintage appliances for resale, but feel the costs are out of hand. Restoration is detailed, but taking a $150 fridge out of someone garage, restoring it, and slapping a $3000.00 price tag is a bit much.

List your stove on Craigslist. Someone will be truly happy to get it.
