I am lookig for someone who knows alot about furniture. I specifically need information about the Lexington Bob Timberlake brand. My partner and i are combining households and just purchased a house together and we are trying to add to my existing collection of Bob Timberlake furniture. It is becoming more scarce here in CA and the manufactureer has greatly reduced the number of pieces offered. Pieces rarely come up on craigslist here and the pieces on ebay are usually far away makiing shipping expensive.

my question is --- are there other brands or manufacturerres taht make something similar that could be mixed in with what I already have.

IIRC, Lexington Furniture was doing a lower priced "Timberlake" line.

Lexington Furniture and Timberlake were partners at one point,but had a falling out of some sorts. Agian, IIRC, mainly because the former wished to bring in one or two lower priced lines,while the later felt such a thing would dilute the brand.

Know it is a trek from your neck of the woods, but sometimes going down to North Carolina's furniture marts and or visiting company stores can net items at a discount, though as you said shipping to CA is going to be dear. Well you could always hire yourself a truck and do the thing.

Only downside is many places down that way will either only deal with legitimate interior designers and others with a vaild business and resale papers. Still, we and others saved a good deal when purchasing Lexington furniture via this route.

Timberlake is Still Available

there are just not many pieces in the line offered any longer. Thd office and dinng room lines are still readily available. you can still find the metal and wood Timberlake bed, but that is not my style. I have two poster beds one simple and one rice carved.

I would like to find another line that matches it closely. At one time the Timberlake was the best sellling line of furniture that came out of the Lexington line. The predesesor to Timberlake was called Old Salem.
