Any info on General appliances...

My local thrift store has an "all in one". Three thick coiled burners on top and a fridge underneath. The unit looks to be around 30" across. I would estimate it to be from late '40s to 50's.

Has anybody any info on General appliances? I think it will be a good match for my Youngstown sink unit that I have in the basement.

I think they made a range made to plug into 110v - you couldn't use the range burners and the oven at the same time, though!! They made hot plates, too.

I don't why but I seem to think they became Danby in the late 1950's...

Thanks Paul...

I know up in Guelph, ON, the two factories are beside one another (Danby and General that is). I know that General make alot of fridge/freezer and air con/dehumid units.
