Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

A Montreal native, too!

Bet there's a condo standing where Montreal Fittings used to be! lol
Is this a compact machine (like the wee Silex or Kenmore table top models)?

Well I picked it up

today. It is indeed a small countertop washer. The seller was to scared to plug it in, so I had to wait till I got home.

Well it does work...no leaks! They sure make good things in Montreal!

The rubbers on the rollers are dry though, do you know if that is something people can rejuvenate?

Can't wait to look under the hood to see what kind of "transmission" it has. The stroke of the agitator is quite short.

Cool!

I wonder if it might be a 'direct drive' - I got a peek at one of the Silex Table-Top machines once and it was like that. I am guessing these machines were intended for very light duty use.
Not sure what you could use on the wringer rollers - I seem to remember a thread coming up here about places who can renew them, but I don't trust my judgement after inhaling POR-15 fumes last weekend... lol
Have fun with it Guy and post some pictures when you do the 'maiden wash'!!!

Very cool!

Wow, I want one of those!

I remember when seeing a compact wringer washer in Sears when I was about 4 years old (so that would have been circa. 1967). I remember it being just the right height for me, so I'm thinking it must have been something like this. Never did see one again, but always remembered it! And now - this! Will have to keep my eye open for one.

Thanks for posting the pics!
