I don't know the model number, but are you considering buying this machine? Servis is not the most reliable brand and that is an understatement I think.
An "Old" friend of mine had a Servis washer, one that looked as if it would only take about 6lbs of washing but took more - (9lb). It was handed down from his mother approx. 10 years old.... That machine was 10 years old then... back in 1985!!!
Still going strong apart from door seal going. Pity we would find it difficult to say about washers of modern times!
the servis brand has been tarnished. all its reputation has been killed since its takeover by the italian company merloni. there nothing more than cheap junk that i've experienced first hand. the drums have 4 shallow paddles that do a really bad job of tumbling the load. it simply bobbles over them.
i'm currently goin back in time & gettin an old servis washing machine like in the thread "anyone for a quartz?"
That machine above is just CRAP. Here in sweden they are sold as Selectro or Hoover(not often but it happens).I have seen many Selectro (Servis) machines only 2 years old totally beyond repairible. They often have problems with bearings and the most common problem, electronics failing. Some times so bad the whole electronic "card" is black and sooty.
These machines are imported by Discount Electrical Centre, they import cheap "seconds" from UK and Europe. The machines are often second hand, damaged and very poor brands. Spare parts are generally not available over here. Stay away.
