We're in Orange County (60mi north of NYC). I laughed when we moved in and figured it would last a few months. That was 4 1/2 years ago.

I agree...

Toggles you need that DW!!!

The ad is cool, and you hardly ever see a KDS16 these days...

FEH!

Assuming I wanted it where to put it? Selling house!

~Get that for me. You and the Gadge can come to California.
I'd love to, however it's a bit of a drive! And even if I bought it its own plane ticket, its @$$ is too big for the seat.

*SIGH*

Bob, yes we remodeled a few times around our Superba portable. it was the same one in one of the current threads. I gave it to my wife in December 1983 as a Christmas present when we lived in out apartment. In August of 1984 we bought a 50's ranch house. It had a galley kitchen with no DW and no 24" cabinet. The base cabinets were all double wide ones. We changed the counters to new formica and refinished the real birch cabinets. We placed the two larger bases on one wall making 8 foot of usable counter space and sawed the smaller one in half so we could build the dw in next to the the sink i now had 8 foot on that side to. In March of 1997 we paid the house off and decided to gut the kitchen and get all new cabinets and counters. I got solid Hickory cabinets and Corian sinks and counters and built the KA back in. Alas the Fall of 1997, the motor burned out and we replaced it with a TOL Frigidaire Gallery which the top rack kept falling out so that was replaced in May 2006 with a Bosch. If this site was around in 97 I think I would have repaired the KA.

Somebody Please!

I hope that somebody in the NY area can give this a home. Maybe someone could get it and store it until someone who will really appreciate it can give it a home?

This MUST NOT go to the crusher or the kerb. I only wish I weren't hundreds of miles away- this is my all-time dream dishwasher (okay, in white, but still!). brouss29- please bear with us- hopefully someone will be in touch with you soon. You're doing a great thing offering it here.

$100 o.b.o.

Someone make me a resonable offer and it's yours. As soon as the new one is in my husband will start harassing me to get rid of the old Kitchenaid.

Somebody!

I hope someone can help Jessica soon- this is getting to be quite a cliff-hanger. These things don't grow on trees!

Jessica, I only wish I weren't in Georgia. Please know I'd get it if I could.

Since it outlasted a kitchen...

Why not just keep the KitchenAid and get new panels for the front? This KA is probably better than the current models.
