that is meant to be operated"bolted down"-reason is there is no suspension and
the tubs are rigidly fixed in place.Because their is no suspension or
counterweights,these are fairly light-i'd recon 150-160lb,if you have not
seen one in person they are smaller than they often appear in photos.
If you don't have a way to bolt down the bendix,you might be able to make a
platform of heavy wood planks and bolt it to that to give it ballast and keep
it in place during spin-the rpm of which is low by modern standards 300rpm IIRC
Design of these bendix if from the late 1930s,they were built with a few
changes into the 1950s
