I had this in my phone since July ...
I was in Ocean city N.J. here was the second time i saw
this machine the first was at my former job sight.

It is a washer dryer combonation from Speed Queen
the odd thing about the unit is that the door handle drops down for loading and it is pretty heavy i wonder how it well feel if a large load was in there whooo.

I guess a good concept for space saving ,i don't think it
it was to good to load or unload anybody experiance this model ?

Here is the first picture you can see the dryer is off and is in the left corner of the pic.
Took this shoot at someones summer home.
I wonder what they replaced it with lol.
Most likely a DD.

this is a Raytheon model from the early 80's, same as the regular top loader....but once you start this unit yo ca't tilt it out to check on the load, or add clothes or detergent...tilts out to load and unload, I am told heavy unit to move....

Omg! I haven't seen one of these in a bazillion years. I was just going to post and see if anyone had ever seen one. A kinda cool machine in concept but a real beeyach to work on when dead and full of water AND buried in a tight closet! Thanks for posting pictures of that.

Wow !!!

I remember reading the Magazine ads for this model.

This was Speed Queen's design in the first series of Stacking the Washer and Dryer. I believe the stackables had smaller tubs on the washers and the dryers had smaller drums.

I want to say I think they were one of the first 2 or 3 Manufacturers to have a Full Size Tub Hence the Tilt out design.

S Q FULL SIZE STACK WASHER & DRYER

We have one of these hooked up at our museum, ours is a 1988 electric model it works great. It is the same size tubs in both the W & D as the regular SQs and the best thing about it is it has a separate drain pump so the washer gives a 1/2 neutral drain like the 60s and 70s Norges. The one we have is hooked up and ready for this Saturdays wash-in in Beltsville.

Thanks guy's i thought that was interesting, but is not a machine that you can see in which well what fun is that.
This machine is a complete lock out ...
Thanks Jhon i did not no about the second drain system learned
something new today.
Hope to see you in Beltsville.
