A CARROT dispenser?
I was a major PEZ head back in the day. Their ownership has been in turmoil. At one point they eliminated their trademark flavor, peppermint. "PEZ" is an Austrian abbreviation of their word for peppermint.
PEZ was conceived as a smoking alternative. That's why the dispenser is shaped exactly like a cigarette lighter. I have actually been on the phone with PEZ USA.
Their flavor array has almost come back to 'interesting' with the return of chocolate and peppermint. At one time the only remaining 'good' flavor was cherry. I want 'lime' back, but even Lifesavers ditched that. 'Green' used to be lime but now it's apple. Blecch!
Much the same happened to Jolly Rancher. Red was cinnamon, now it's watermelon. Or if you don't look closely enough and it's pink, that's peach. Blecch!
I was a MAJOR candyholic. Even made my own (vanilla taffy). About the only oldtime candy I still like is Baby Ruth, Hershey hasn't bought and ruined it like they have everything else. And Goelitz licorice pastels, but the only way to get those is in a 10# box direct from the distributor. I've still got maybe 3# left of the last one.
Remember when JuJubes were clear and luscious? And now they're cloudy? One word, HFCS. Destroyed the entire soda industry except for Pepsi Throwback. I could go on for hours, but you either know or you don't.
