Got my roku2 running today and was flipping through the "channels". I added Pub-D and looked through all the old, old content they had. lots of old movies and very old TV shows. Came across an Ozzie and Harriet Christmas show and watched it. It was "presented" by the Gas company and they even ran the original commercials with the Caloric gas ranges along with a shampoo commercial that I don't thing was part of the natural gas section of the show. The show was from '64 and Ozzie talked about going to the Worlds Fair in New York and how it was cooled and heated with natural gas. Harriet showed off her Caloric range with the upper and lower ovens. Then they ran a "classic" Christmas show from '56.
Anyway, it was interesting to see and I wonder if any of the other shows have similar commercials in them. Came across some Life or Riley from '49, I married Joan, the Morey Amsterdam show among many many others. If you like classic TV it's free and all yo need is a decent internet connection and a Roku box- they start at $49.
