That is a factory rebuilt and refurbished Model G. Lux used to take the machines back in trade and send them back to the factory for a complete rebuild. The machines were then sold by distributors when they couldn't quite get someone to buy a new machine. These rebuilt machines were new in every way. They were refurbished in the colors of the machines sold at the time. This one was sold during the era of the Silverado. I have seen them in blue, grey, and brown. They also sold rebuilt E F and 1205s as well. This came from a stash found in San Francisco. There was some drama getting them, but I have one and love it.

HI Fred Thanks for telling me as I was wondering why the grey color, It seems Kirby did the same thing too with there rebuilts too, I have a Dual 50 rebuilt in total blue which is the first one I have ever seen. frd were there any other vacuum companies that did rebuilt there machines besides Electrolux and Kirby? Just wondering

Fred is so right, the Electrolux G is just like new, has fantastic power and is so quiet. It is a real jewl and I am so lucky to have it. Skip, Greg was telling me the other day that in A Filter Queen book he had is said that they would also take the machines back in for a rebuild. I never knew that before either. Terry
