Noticed a few gaffes in brochures and manuals over time and I thought what a great idea to post them as a collective.

Its amazing what these companies allow through their apparent blind eye used for detail.

To start off heres a 2004 Whirlpool UK American FF Brochure which on the very first page shows the freezer section to be filled with several mistakes lol.

1. 6 boxes of takeaway pizza, shouldnt be frozen and defrosted for food poisoning factors.

2. Whole green and yellow peppers bagged up - peppers dont freeze in this state :)

3. Whole cauliflowers frozen, should of been broken down into florets and blanched lol.

4. 2 Melons in the door. Same as the peppers, Melons dont freeze well, especially whole ones lmao...

And in the same brochure it makes this statement,

"Unique to Whirlppool side by side fridge freezers, the in door ice system offers upto 25% more usable freezer space than other models with Icemakers - enough to store a weeks worth of pizza!'

Encouraging healthy eating to the max!
Well they just dashed all the virtues of the salad crisper!!

Does anyone else have any classic bloopers?

question of the day

Why is it that I keep seeing people using the term "Should of" instead of "should have"?? What does "Should of" mean? I know that most people say "Should've" instead of "Should have" like those who say "Didn't" instead of "Did not" or "haven't" instead of "Have not" However,I never remember anyone saying "Should of" in a sentence.

"Should of" instead of "Should from"? "Should OF Alexandria Virginia is here to be in style with the rest who should.

Excuse me if I am totally missing any witty banter offered here but whats my grammar got to do with this threads title?

Im sure we are all entitled to the odd occasion where grammar slips and especially as I did not plan what I was going to put here instead just typing as what I wanted to say to get my point across came into my head - just as I am doing now.

I dont post messages consisting of text message language nor have total disrespect for the grammar in general unlike most of the younger generation who seem to think its cool to use such ways.

Oh well, bang goes this thread now with a whole load of abuse and rubbish that is TOTALLY OFF TOPIC.

So true, Rob. And notice the slice of cake just above the bare fish. That fish really should of been placed in a sealed bag.

That was my first reaction too.. Who could survive off six frozen pizzas, three cakes, two pies and two bottles of wine? Hey Whirlpool, does your refrigerator hold any actual food?

I'd have never noticed the melons etc in the freezer.
I'll never have a SxS fridge again. We had one for 15 years and it stayed with our last house thankfully. It was so user unfriendly trying to squeeze stuff in the narrow compartments and dig stuff out at the back. Hubby like it though but I think just for the look of it.
The Maytag Wide By Side side by side fridge I thought was very clever and why it never caught on is odd. Best of both I thought. I'd have one of them.

Manuals

are compiled by marketing staffs nowadays, not by engineers or home economists any more, so this is annoyingly typical. I just ignore the pretty coloured pictures.
