From an article titled Cooking Up a Stainless Rebound by Martha C. White in Sunday's Washington Post Business Section: (I guess she has to use her middle initial so that people won't ask her about flour)

Since the Spring, Viking Range of Greenwood, Mississippi, has laid off more than 300 workers in five waves according to the Mississippi Business Journal. Britain's AGA Rangemaster has shed about 400 jobs.

Sears has sealed a deal to be the exclusive provider of Whirlpool's Jenn-Air brand.

Sub-Zero & Wolf have already rehired a little more than 200 employees at facilities that crank out their high-end appliance lines, and the company said in a release that it will add 60 new jobs at these sites over the next several months.

One type of product that stands to benefit hugely from the embrace of the eco-friendly is the induction cooktop.

Mike, I just reported what she wrote. AGAs aren't made in the US, are they? The picture of the Rangemaster looks more like something from Thermador, or more correctly DCA, than AGA. It has controls and stuff, nothing like the AGA designed to be usable by someone who is blind, according to a history of the AGA cooker I read.
