Are these Late 60s Maytags?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Christina, you are correct, it is a 606. The upper portion of the panel at initial glance did look like it was backlit. The initial washer in the thread only has 3 water temp buttons and this one has 4--meaning the added button is hot wash and cold rinse where the 3 button models were only hot wash warm rinse.

I don't think that is a 606 either. Looks like 4 temperature buttons and 3 level buttons. That would make it a 208. It's difficult to be sure as the smaller details of the photo are somewhat blurry.

GOOD!!!
i'm glad i'm not the only one having trouble trying to see the details of the buttons!!! it is soooo hard to tell whether there are 3 or 4 buttons cuz I THINK the space filled up by the buttons is the exact same size on all the control panels. just the sizes of the buttons changed from 3 to 4, 4 being smaller buttons to fit into the same size of space that the 3 buttons fit into.

so, to me, sometimes it's hard to tell how many buttons there are, especially when the picture is taken far away, is blurry, or there isn't good lighting.

:o/
