Avocado 1-18 Set For Sale

It is with a heavy heart, and no more space, that I am putting my avocado 1-18 washer and electric dryer up for sale. They do work, but the dryer drum has some rust speckling & the agitator cone needs a cone replaced as it was chipped. I would like to see $140 or best offer for them. I want to move them as quickly as possible, so the person who get them off my hands as quick as possible takes them. (I would need them gone before May 2nd.)

The only picture I have of them is the picture Martin (Yogitunes) took when he owned them. If you would like any other pictures, let me know, but I will try to take pics of the interiors to post later.

If you only knew how many Calypso's were for sale down here right now......and matched sets at that.....and the pump stopped working.....little do they know!.....a simple reset.....oh well, their loss!

I need to start charging a fee......haha

Yes, I have been bitten by the bug!

Have always been interested in the mechanics of these machines. The videos don't do it justice. Hands-on is a much more interesting experience.

Martin, I think I will have to add a similar lid switch bypass to my Maytag. It's no longer under warranty. It's a load sensing model and doesn't like to be disturbed after the cycle is started. If you open the lid it will then automatically fill up with water. I've gotten used to it now since I replaced the solid lid with a window lid, but it would be nice to be able to open it while it's running.

Those switches are easy as ever......and for most machines, its a click away from the lod open, back to using it as designed......especially for ones that incorporate the "out of balance" into the lid switch...
