I found these on Craigslist here in SC. The seller bought them at an estate sale (package deal) and did not want/need. Going to pick them up in the morning. Sorry if the pictures as small. This is my first time using the new picture feature.

I'd go with Maytags, they tend to turn up the most often, so you will probably find a match the easiest. Check craigslists in your surrounding states and maybe western North Carolina and eastern Tennesee. I look in the appliance and antique sections. Search for "antique washer", "antique washing"", vintage washer, vintage washing, green washer, green washing, etc. Also check the shoppers square.

Do this about once a week, be devoted, and aggressive (jump while the irons hot and don't be afraid to travel) and I bet by the new year at the latest you'll be washing in avacado goodness. There are still a lot left.

I remember a year or so ago, I found a matched set of avocado Maytags between two North Carolina counties and put them on here. My sets that I've gotten actually came from different states to find a matched pair. My Maytags are from Ohio and Maryland, the Kenmores are from North Carolina and Michigan, and the Westinghouse are from Maryland and West Virginia. Don't be discouraged, it will come.

Yea thats how i found the rest of my avocado green kitchen stuff. ended up finding it in ohio bout a 5 hour drive. Now while ive been trying to find the washer and dryer ive started to accumulate Harvest gold stuff

Avocado JC Penney Set

I do, but I'm in the Atlanta area, and Best Buy is taking them away tomorrow. They work, but the washer has a leak, and the dryer recently began overheating. They're almost 40 years old. I feel bad that they may be crunched for recycling, but I don't know how to pass them on to a collector in such short notice.

Put them in the shoppers square and/or on Craigslist. If they don't sell in a month you can put them up for free and a scrapper will come pick them up.
