I first saw an induction cooktop by Westinghouse at the 1971 Home Show in Atlanta at the then new Civic Center. I have a single 1800 watt unit by Vollrath. It works well, but no better than the surface units on my range. I would imagine that the units approaching 4kw of power are quite impressive.
