Well, I did it - I landed another job! Acutally I started in a job this week, then got a better offer, so I quit to take the new job starting Monday... I have never done anything like that in my life and it felt kinda weird. BUT given my age, one has to take the best opportunity offered. The new job is a sales and marketing position in a company who have developed network performance analysis tools. I'll be working on preparing quotes, verifying customer requirements, distribution information to the sales force, and administering demo and production licenses. Oh, and get this, the job is 10 minutes by subway from the apartment in Montreal. I was hoping this was the job I would get, but accepted the other one because I had heard back about this one. So, as Hubby says, this just proves that if there is a roundabout, unconventional, and complicated way to do something, then I will find it... He better watch it 'cause the Westy Laundromat motor will be back from the shop tomorrow... LOL
Oh, and just another note it looks like the wash-in I had wanted to hold in May is off. I didn't realize what a colossal hassle it would be for US citizens to get into Canada with the new passport requirements!! Anyway, if anyone ever really does want to visit, please let me know and I would be happy to disclose the directions to the house in Ogden (it is next to impossible to find using Mapquest or Google Maps)!
The really good news is that I can justify buying vintage appliances and parts again... LOL

Canned Rats and Ululations!

I hope the job has more pleasant aspects than unpleasant ones.

I also hope that they will pay in Canadian money, instead of in Canadian Tire coupons!

Hey,the Canadian Looney closed above the greenback the other day... It is definitely time to go shopping... Hmmm and I just might happen to know where I can find a couple of KitchenAid top-loaders ;-)
