$400 plus tax is a lot of money for something that may or may not crap out in few years.
Some friends of mine purchase a Whirlpool built 29 inch gas dyer around 2014. A couple of years later it cost them $300 in repairs, (yeah they probably got ripped off a little). About a year after that it died again, I advised to cut their losses and get a new 29 incher, we'll see how long that one lasts.
