What is it really with that TV shaped lid?

It's actually a Camco - they made GE, Hotpoint, Moffat and McClary as well as the Viking and Beaumark store brands back in the 80s up here in Canada.   Funnily enough the Beaumarks (for the Bay department store) were pretty much Hotpoint designs while the Vikings (for Eatons) were more like GEs....

Phil, the Beaumarks were Rim-Flo machines (and as you know 'cause you have one the Vikings were Filter-Flo!)
