My mother in law is thinking about purchasing this dryer. Wondering what people think about it. I've not heard that much about Beko dryers so really don't know.

Hotpoint/ Indesit dryers are out since the ones i have heard have been very noisy. Searching online seems to give mix of places that love it or hate it.

Heres a link to the manual.

Beko

Don't ever buy a Beko dryer. They lose belts like no tommorow. The sensor is very hit and miss too and they are not good at drying bedding as it all ends up in a ball wet inside and dry outside.Got rid of mine as so fed up with it. Got an AEG now. 100% better.

Unfortunately, they don't get a good review on Which? either....

Seems they have their washing machines, dishwashers and refrigeration sorted, but not their dryers.....

Beko

I did feel like writing to Beko and asking them in what way was it they thought the machine could actually dry clothes! I even put a new pcb in it to see if it did a better job and it didn't. You had to put it on about three times to finish the load and stop it during drying to untangle the clothes so they would dry evenly. A clothes horse would have been less stressful! lol

I've heard a few engineers say that Zanussi/AEG condenser dryers are the best out of the cheaper ones.

Our Creda is of the old GDA design with the water collector at the bottom and has lasted us 6 years so far without problems. It isn't too noisy either. However, the new Indesit/Hotpoint/Creda type with the collector at the top are supposed to be awful.

I have a midrange Zanussi condenser dryer, which i paid £200 for but its £300 now to 189 for the Beko or I would have made her go for that. Theres a Candy similarly priced and she does love her Hoover Vision washing machine. I think it looks pretty flimsy.

Thanks for the advice guys!

Theres a Candy similarly priced

I'd seriously recommend avoiding that, they are almost without a doubt the worst dryers on the market.

As for Beko, from what I've heard I would avoid them, but they seem better than Candy (Anything is it would appear)

I'd definately suggest going for a Zanussi if possible. My Mum has had the TOL vented model for 3 months now and absolutely loves it, really the best for the price I'd say!

Candy"s were really bad.. but newest ones seem abit bett

The only Candy/Hoover I would buy is an Aquavision condenser dryer... but still if you want sensor dry then get Siemens or Miele.. I"ve read some reviews that Electrolux vented dryers sensor tends not to work properly..
Anyway if you wanna get just vented, timer, and heat button, than go for Indesit/Hotpoint, or white knight ;)

lost my trust in zanussi as i was bought one as a xmas pressie and it had a servere fault the door wouldent lock and trading standards got involved. on the day my new beko came they took the zanussi out and placed my beko where it was supposed to go. the beko is my 2nd daily driver yes i have 2 washing machines. hee pix of the beko ar on the way.
TOM ps ts think a recall of zanussi washing machines may be necesery.

Dryers

I have the new Aqualtis condenser dryer and am very pleased with it. Not exactly silent but not really loud either.

Of course Indesit/Creda/Hotpoint dryers are the only Indesit products actually made in the UK now as the factory in Yate is still open (but for how much longer we may wonder).

I'm not familiar with the Aqualtis condenser dryer so can't comment.

If you can hold off buying for a bit i will be ordering one of those goernje dryers (but in black) with the matching washer and when i get it i will be happy to poke about a bit with it for you

need to get the keys to the house first though

Hehe, its for my mother in law or else i wouldn't be on here since i'd be ordering an AEG heat pump dryer or the Miele one finances permitting.

Going to take a chance on the Beko. Will at least show her the error of her ways if it turns out to be a pile of rubbish. I was trying to steer her to Zanussi but alas I failed.

We have an electrolux and it's a very good machine. It's reactively quiet, dries excellently and the sensor works very well.
