Gm,Ford,Chrysler products with Canadian brand names or design,eh. Acadian,Beaumont,Fargo, etc. Acadian Canso,mid-60s,basicly chevy nova and special engines were avalible in Canada too.Beaumont basicly a Chevelle,Fargo the Canadian brand for Dodge trucks and vans :)WW2 era,Chevy and Ford Canadian factories built a lot of trucks for use by allied forces in deserts of north Africa-special oversize tires for driving in the sand. The CMP truck was designed with some British influence and used mostly Chevy"stovebolt"six,Ford "flathead"v8,and sometimes GMC six.

I do know the Canadian full size Pontiacs were different than US models in the 50's and 60's. They were built on a Chevrolet chassis, but had Pontiac style body's panels, which were not interchangeable with US Pontiac parts.

Pontiac in Canada made the Chevy Vega the Pontiac Acadia, which in the US became the Pontiac Astre...

I remember the Caravelle which was either a Chrysler or Plymouth but a rebadged Dodge of some sort...

Pontiac's Bonneville was the Parisienne which was what Bonneville here was once briefly renamed...

Wonder why the names Dodge and Chevrolet in Canada were once never used...

Here is a link for vintage Automobiles.

Adam does a great job on older vehicles and even explores some of the Canadian models of US manufacturers. Check it out.

Does the Aussie made Ford Falcon count? It was built here from 1960-2014. By the late 60s, it was essentially an Australian designed and built car. They kept the I6 engine and added a turbo in the early 2000s with some serious power from a 4L 6

Petek, sorry, I didn't want to be entirely misquoted... That was just my observation, I guess, how I've mainly seen certain cars re-badged the way I did, and I'm sorry for misleading without admittedly knowing the facts...

I've been mostly in the Windsor and Toronto area of Canada as well as Quebec in Montreal, so really, other than whatever cars from there have made it here, my memory of what I saw mostly there really remains fuzzy...

I do remember a Corvette from there having to have special daytime running lights put on the bumper and looked pretty spectacular over here just a year or so before those required in the US, and that was a Chevrolet...

So pardon my misunderstanding, the topic just set my mind recalling a lot, mostly past, and that accounts for much of my personal confusion...
