I know it's just more time to observe but here goes....

New LG FL washer.
Did give it a normal wash cycle with some bleach on the 1st wash.
About 16 cycles in (mix of hot water and *wifey* likes cold water with her delicates and darks)
After a full day of laundry (2 Press, 1 Towel) , I just so happened to run my hand on the inner portion of the drum, right where the drum edge curves up . The entire perimeter felt like it had a bio-film of dirt on it....

So off I went, I did a tub clean with bleach and all is well.

Previous washer was a Miele...
Anyhow, just thinking outloud.
Is the bio film either just due to use of liquid FS.
Maybe I should have ran a Clean Cycle on the 1st wash to get whatever manuf. oil/dirt really clean
And or is it possible, excess soap/dirt from previous washer that the LG is now cleaning out of the current -fabrics.

On the Miele, I have tone sodium percarb, citric cleaning cycles but eh, just threw me for a slight curveball that 15 cycles in, I was able to feel a *biofilm ring* on the drum.

We are mindful to no overdose, but she does err on the cold side of washing temp.
I do plan the towels to be the last load, as that does get a HW wash and no FS

For the towel load, I sugest using the Sanitize cycle and the eaviest soil evel. Normal "hot" on LG washers is ony 112 degrees F (44C). I have the LG WM4200 model.

Weird1 How would it even be possible to have a bio-film that quickly?? That's something that takes some time to build up..

I will say when I use FS, I never ever use the recommended amount.. only a couple of tbs if that. It takes me FOREVER to go through a bottle of that stuff.. Bleach too... because so little is used.

Bio Film was maybe the wrong word. How about - ring around the collar- except it's just this -ring- you can only where the inner drum -curves- upward to ford the lip of the drum

So since the last clean cycle, in which I could feel it was gone.

3 Washes today. Last cycle was hot, not FS. Again, you can feel minority the -ring around the collar- film as well.
Just ran my hand on it now (drum is nice and dry) and you don't feel it . But I know when it's wet, I can.

So whadday say. Just maybe due to how the drum is tilted up a bit, and the angle of how she spins etc. Maybe it'a a soap/lint/dirt residue ring ?

Like I said, more time to monitor and observe but I've never felt this (ring around the collar residue) on our previous Miele.
