Hey all,

Any pre service call ideas on what I can do??

My 3 month old dishwasher is leaking from either the door or under neath....

Before I call the engineer out, is there anything I need to check or do just incase it is something I am doing wrong???

Advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Peter

Call Your Dealer

3 Months old, "I would be happier if you could exchange this for me". I think when we get one of these expensive appliances that do not work correctly We need to SEND IT Back. How long it the Bosch warranty 1 yr or 90 days? BearPete Good Luck with this.

But do make sure first of all that the problem isn't caused by anything as simple as a leaking inlet hose or a blocked/restricted drain standpipe - it would be a good idea to pull the DW out first of all just to confirm that neither of these are the case. Although the unit is under warranty, Bosch will charge you for the service call if the problem is related to the installation rather than the machine itself.

A surefire way to see if the machine is leaking from underneath is to sit it on a few sheets of newspaper and then run it through a cycle. If the machine itself leaks, any wet spots on the paper will show exactly which area the water is coming from.

Cheers,

Kirk

Thanks for your advice!

Thanks guys,
I will get the pipes checked and also try the newsapaer test to see if it is coming from the door etc.
I am using one of our better supermarket brands of dishwasher powder and have checked the level of suds. No problem there!

I have them coming out next week so it will give me a few days to work on the advice you have given me..

Once again,

Thanks!

Peter

Bosh DW

There will be a leak if they have installed the wrong soap cup.
I can't tell you why but I had the same problem...Next time get a Miele, I did.

Outcome

Sorry everyone. This is the third nickname and sign up I have had to do... I dont knwo what is going on with my sign ins. every time I try to get in to Discuss, the passwords and nickname are not allowed in.

To let you know the outcome of my DW problem.... it was me! I didnt tighten the inlet enough. It leaked some water over time and that was what was giving me the flood. Luckily I cancelled the engineer or I would have been paying out for someone to tell me how bad I was at installing white goods.

Thanks for all the tips. you saved me some hard earned cash!!

Once again, apologies for the late answering of this.

Is there a contact for this site for me to talk over my sign in problems with??

Pete
