I saw this story on this morning's TV news. Young boy gets stuck in washer and the fire dept used the jaws of life to extract him. They showed what was left of the newer Maytag (looked like an Atlantis model) with plastic tubs -- which was not much, the machine was destroyed. They pointed out the plastic inner and outer tubs, which where jaggedly dissected in half vertically. The also cut off the plastic agitator. Yay for plastic! Ha!
This is something that would have happened to me as a kid. Only in my day, you got your arm stuck in the wringer...which I did at the age of 2. Hey, there were still a lot of wringers around in the 50's!
