This was a popular model

There was a housing tract near my childhood home, that originally had the older style model with the 2 knobs below the door. as they finally gave up the ghost, people used these units to replace them. Otherwise they were stuck with a whirlpool unit with a continuously dirty oven.

The one across the stret didn't have the meat probe feature.  I know what one white button is for, the oven light.  Can someone tell me what the 2nd white button function is?
