My orange tree is loaded again this year, and I've been picking for the past week or so, as they've finally sweetened up enough and are releasing easily or even falling off. Today I picked a bucket full while standing in one spot. This is the first place I've lived that has a prolific tree with citrus I'll actually consume and enjoy as opposed to letting them drop (like lemons and kumquats).
I'd been smitten with a friend's Breville citrus press since I saw it in action last year, and I found a nice barely used die cast model on CL for less than the plastic model costs new, so I went for it. I'm delighted with this thing, and parts are dishwasher safe! Switch it on, position a halved orange atop the reamer, pull the arm down and it will render the flesh entirely in about three seconds. I can fill a tumbler with juice in no time flat. It has a spout that flips up to prevent residual dripping after juicing. It's well designed, super quiet, and operation is smooth as silk. These things aren't cheap, but they are well worth it for anyone who enjoys orange or grapefruit juice, and can of course be used for lemons and limes as well.
I am so over hand-juicing. This is as civilized as juicing gets, and I'm enjoying a 10-12 ounce glass each morning, or whenever else I feel inclined.
I would provide a demo link here, but those I watched all have users who are over-reaming, which suggests the process is slower than the nearly instantaneous performance I've enjoyed with mine.
