BTH wringer washer AKA Hotpoint Empress Advice needed

Hi all, since I'm moving in the country within months I was thinking at how nice would be to have a wringer washer to use otside in the summer, so I came across a now reduced price for a BTH wringer washer which was what in Italy the Hotpoint Empress had as a name...
Now...I've seen some have an heater some doesn't, as far as I know the BTH machines didn't have one, since I'd use it outside that would be a problem, but I think I can solve this using one of those portable immersion heater (being a square machine I need to figure out how to hang it on the side, anyway feasible).

But the problem is that while extrernally the machine looks nice, the wringer has some scratches...
Do you think is there a way i can paint it?
There're several BTH machines on sale now, but all are up to more than 200 euros and still there, this one is on auction and start from 99 euros, with 50 euro of shipping which is what I have to spend and a fair price to me (if I win the auction for that price), do you think is there a way to paint the wringer?
Will those rusted scratches stain my laundry as I wring it?

Very nice machine, and a good idea to have an external immersion heater, I think the original heaters were 3Kw.

Any rust that comes inot contact with your clothes will get on them so it is best treat all rust spots first, you wont be able to get that cream coloured white of the shelf, Hammerite spray smooth is a good paint to use but it will be a very bright white.

Yeah...
Well, those scratches don't loook so big but yes if they will not stain my laundry anyway they're going to get larger and larger as water finds it's way under the coating..
As for the color, I'm not a good painter at all, I have no skills and would end doing messes as...so am quite unsure..I want one but now that I'm thinking better if the painting job will not end good and or I can't find the same color I think I better pass on it, and wait until something in better conditions shows up...

I'm not even that fond of those empress, I'd prefer a Servis Supa Heat everyday than an Empress, but this was what was passing by right now...
I can wait...

Yes BTH stands for British Thompson Houston, they were Imported in Italy by CGE who was a branch of General Electric (both in Italy and also France) that made business with British Hotpoint, BTH was anyway a subsidiary of GE itself also was involved with English Electric....
