IAR SILTAL

Siltal is an italian firm, now in adjustment ... many jobs in danger. They mostly produce commercial refrigerators and freezers for groceries and supermarkets. Their main factory in Abbiategrasso (Milan) closed 20 years ago. Just the fridge plants survived with endless financial troubles.

These new frontloaders are made in a ex LG factory close to Naples (same district where Whirlpool has euro frontloader plants) The workers write in their blog they really don't use anymore the know-how they got at LG times.
Vintage Siltal washers were nice machines, but in late 80ies they got worse and worse. To the point to get worse than antoniomerloni.it ones

Definitely a nice example of criminal management (aka hardboiling)
