Canadian Shipping!

I'm absolutely floored. I bought a covered chafing dish thingy that accomodates a 9x11 pyrex on eBay from a gal in Toronto. I thought I was getting a great deal because it was only 3.99, but then I got the invoice and shipping is SIXTY DOLLARS!!!

Sure enough, I went to the Canadian postal service, and that was the lowest price.

My fault, of course - she included a link on the offer to calculate shipping, and I didn't do it - but what an eye-opener.

If it's $60.00 Canadian there will be a bit of a break in the exchange rate, I think, I hope, if that helps. Sorry.

Sounds exhorbitant...but then again I don't ship anything with Canada Post. I've shipped lots of stuff down to the US weighing much more, stereo turntables, Mixmasters etc and the highest cost via UPS ground was about $35 from Calgary to Florida and the stuff is always there within 5 days or less.
