In case you wanted to spend an evening mixing it up with an art for cheap, here it is.

Jennaire

Right on, it was made for Jennaire as well as a blender, in a plethora of colors with blown glass bowls and decanters.

really a very nice mixer...

A few years ago when these were discontinued a few found their way to the Tuesday Morning store near me...$69.99. I checked the Jenn-Air website and they had a $50 mail-in rebate at the same time. I tend to think Tuesday Morning jumped the gun but I did get my rebate. They had the same thing on the Attrezzi blender bringing the price down to less than $20 for each. This is a very good and very powerful mixer. The control is lighted and the mixer gradually ramps-up to the speed you select.

Even though I'm not crazy about black it does make a real statement on your kitchen counter.

I tried to order the mixer and a blender from some sort of kitchen catalog I got--but alas they informed me that the machines were not available and refunded my order.Sort of wanted them whether good or not-just cool and unusual looking.Didn't get a chance to see if the Attrezzi blender and mixer could compare to KA,Viking mixers or the Vitamix and Blendtec blenders. What happened to that company?

I'd say as far as mixing capability the Arrtezzi compares well with my old K5A KitchenAid. Aside from the fact there's no power hub and no attachments for the Jennair the big advantage is the KitchenAid's larger capacity and indestructible bowl. Being a klutz I always fear I'm going to break that very nice etched glass bowl. You can occasionally find replacement bowls (translucent green, tortise shell glass and a few others on the Internet. I've seen mixers without bowls on ebay, probably from owners who had an accident. There was a stainless steel bowl available as an option at one time too. These mixers were close to $300 when new. I think most serious chefs would go with a trusty KitchenAid which probably led to Jennair pulling the plug.

another accident waiting to happen...more lighted controls

I have the mixer in white. I won it, so no complaints (they were giving away a blender and a toaster at the same time, glad I got the mixer!).

I've always regretted not buying both the mixer and blender. They were clearing them out up here in Canada as well at Home Sense for around $49 or $59. That must have been around 2005 before we moved east. They were really pricey when they first hit the market in the hundreds of dollars.
