Here is the feast my family had,

Appetizers:

2 kinds of chips

3 kinds of crackers

cheese dip

salsa

cranberry BBQ meatballs

Grinch fruit skewers

Lefse with butter or Lingonberries (My dad has Norwegian roots)

Salmon spread.

Pickled herring

 

DINNER:

Dry aged prime rib

Au-gratin potatoes

Scalloped onions

Green bean casserole

Candied sweet potatoes

Au-jus slightly thickened

 

Dessert:

Scandinavian dessert rice (future Mother In Law is Finnish) with lingonberries and whipped cream, homemade caramels and assorted chocolates.  Washed down with Caribou coffee.

It was the buffet

at the local Days Inn for dad and me. Then we came back and extolled the virtues of gas vs electric heat.

Exciting it was.

But where is the Superba ??? LOL

I had Rib on Christmas Day. Just did usual Fresh chopped garlic, Kosher Salt and Coarse Grind Black Pepper.

nick, I gotta tellya, Find a great Portable to keep in the side lines. During baking and having company this time of year, I can Jam the KDS20 and the KDS55.
