Hey folks ~

I'm sure most of you have heard the news of the recent vote by the Maytag share holders. Currently, on 12/23, the Des Moines Register has many articles about people's thoughts localy on the subject. Along with the editorials, they have included a really neat pictorial. Check out the photo on the link - is that a '59 dryer with a window? What is that!

Re: Dryer, possible Window:

It looks like to me that the Dryer has a shorter Control Panel, similar to the original Highlander Models and it also looks like to me, that the Door is opened and what is being seem behind the person, is the inside of the Dryer Drum, instead of a Window. If I'm wrong, oh well!!! If I'm possilby correct, it is just because to me, it does look like the Door is opened, looking into the Drum. Too bad that the Guy had to stand right where it made it harder to tell, besides getting his "Rump-Roast" in the Pix anyway...

Peace, Happy Holiday Greetings and Cheers, Steve

Cool picture! That is indeed a standard Maytag dryer, they were shipped with the door removed, wrapped in cardboard and taped to the top of the machine for shipping - so as not to damage the handle on the front and save space in packaging. You can see the cardboard protection on the top and front of the machine.
