I know this is a little out of place in a forum about Washers and machine Dryers, but it does have to do with laundry.

When I bought my house last summer it had two perfectly good clothesline poles but no clotheslines attached. I have been unable to find actual clothesline anymore. I can find the rope that sags when wet, the plastic that sags under weight and snapps when you tighten it, and the wire that rusts and leaves marks on your clothes.

Dose anyone know how to get hold of the old fashion clothesline that our mothers used? You know the stuff the heavy duty wire that you could bolt onto your poles and tighten with a turnbuckle. I have searched online and only found the above mentioned or replicas of such.

My clothesline is wire with a green plastic coating. It is quite pliable and can be pulled very taut. I would think that Lowe's, Home Depot, or more preferrably a local Mom & Pop hardware store should have this or something similar.
