I have a 1926 Copper Clad coal burning cookstove hooked up in my kitchen. The firebox needs to be rebuilt. Does anyone know where I could have this done? I use the stove now a bit but would like to use it more. Thanks, ABC-O-MATIC

Check out antiqueappliances.com. They're located in Clayton, GA but maybe they can refer you to someone closer to home.

Gary,
Here in Ohio, I live not far from a large Amish community. There's a store there called Lehman's (www.Lehmans.com).
It's a really neat place to visit and they are a wealth of information. If they can't help you directly, they should know who to refer you to in your area.
Call 888-438-5346 and ask for the stove department or email at [email protected].
Got the info from their catalog. It's a few years old, but this much should still be accurate.
Hope this helps. Bill...

Looking at those old stoves in the Lehmans site reminded me of the old neighbor lady Mrs.Parsons who lived across the street from my granmothers back in Hamilton Ontario. She had one of those in her kitchen that looked something like the Enterprise Monarch, this would have been the late 50's very early 60's. At that time I'm guessing she was in her 80's, the houses were all turn of the century narrow 3 stories you see in all the old cities,, sort of like the Bunkers in All in the Family. Gran had a gas stove but still had the coal fired octopus gravity furnace in the cellar. My partners family had a woodburner up until the 70's back in Newfoundland, with a water tank built in.
