Here's a very nice, top-of-the line Kenmore pair that someone who appreciates them needs to possess. A bit steep on the "Buy It Now" price, but still......
WOW, that is an extraordinary set, and in great shape as well. I've never seen that chrome band around the top before. Those Solid State Kenmores are the best! Those are probably early-80's; the 1970's machines would have a vertical slide switch to start/stop the washer or start the dryer.
They seem to be popping up on Craigslist recently too. There's a pair of 1978 or 1979 Lady K's in Almond in Dallas, as well as some Solid State Mark II Whirlys in Austin. Might go for the latter...
