Rarely... very rarely... you see non-white Maytag Wringer Washers (the NX Bluebell excluded).

Does anybody know what colors were available, what model years, and were the designer colors just for the TOL "E" model, or for the "J" and "N" as well?

Thanks...

White, pink, and Avocado are the only factory colors I have seen for the E, J, N models.

White, GRAY, pink, avocado were the colors used on the E only. The J and N were always white ... except for the Blue Bell.

I have not seen the gray E; those were made in the beginning of the production in 1939 and weren't carried forward after WWII (I believe Maytag halted all appliance production shortly after Pearl Harbor 12/07/1941). I would suspect, however, Maytag was trying to use up the gray from the previous models. Maybe they used it all up during airplane production in WWII?

This

is very interesting. I had no idea there was a gray model. I have seen lots of green and pink ones at the Amish shop. They were all E's. I think you have a colored one don't you Geoff? I know Ted had one but sold it. I would love to have a gray one. Thanks again for an informing thread.

Jim
