Come to a small (compact, portable) Wash-in (Twin Cities, MN)

Hi Gang- I know you haven't heard much from me since I moved from Maui as we chose not to have a computer at home. We are now well settled in and would like to have some folks over.

Would like to invite anyone who is interested to come over to play with my two compact washers on Saturday, 10/18/08 from 12:00 to 4:00. We will provide refreshments, snacks and soiled garments to wash.

I have a new Danby Twin-Tub, a 1984 Lady Kenmore belt drive compact automatic and a @1972 Whirlpool portable dryer.
Guests may bring a little something for "show & tell".

you have a Danby twin tub !!!

I would like to hear about your Danby twin tub. I am very interested in them. Wish I was closer to you, but Knoxville, TN isn't exactly a quick drive!

Tell all your thoughts on the twin tub, i.e. about using it, how it cleans, water extraction, how well do you think it is built, build quality, etc.

Hi Steve! Oh, I've been around just looking when I have a chance at work! Dennis is well and we are glad to be back on the mainland.

Mihi- This Danby is about the most dissappointing washer purchase I have ever made. It is a PITA to use compared to other twin tubs I have had, very cheaply made and has poor extraction compared to other twin tubs. Thought I would let every one who can come over a chance to play with it, then sell the damned thing in the want ads.

Im also curious if you can get the overflow wash and rinse function to work

Mine only worked after I juryrigged it to work
