Hi I'm deaf...my name is Peter and best friend.
I looked newest Whirlpool Washer & Dryer for new design....it will coming up until March 2006 (2 more months). I'm AMAZING of the newest washer!! I can't believe of it!! It's GREAT AND AWESOME!! What is the store locator...PC Richards, Sears, Lowe, Home Depot, and Best Buy?
Umm...which is the spin speed about 1200 or 1300 rpm? And which is the drum cylinder .... same as slant or straight?

Whirlpool's Duet "Sport" is the cousin of Kenmore's HE2 series, so the features will probably be much the same as Duet washers.
No word on if the unit will have an onboard heater, or just elaborate ATC controls for water temps. Whirlpool claims the unit was designed with second story installations in mind, (in fact if one looks closely at the picture featured in the above link, you can see the window has a view out of an apartment window), so that will be interesting to see.
Whirlpool's new "Sport" units are the same height and width as Duet washers, but only a few inches shallower in depth. How that translates into "space saving" will also bear looking into.

Is that right about called Whirlpool Duet "Sport"? I will go to the department store to see newest Whirlpool Duet Washer, I will see the Whirlpool Duet's programs and see inside the drum cylinder by March '06.

You might be better off going to a Sears store and looking at the HE2 washer to get a better idea of what the Duet "Sport" may look like. Am almost certian the two are cousins and thus the Sport is likely to have more in common with HE2 than the larger Duet units.

The specs that Laundress linked to indicated that the unit does indeed have a built in heater. But they don't seem to be that much smaller than the regular Duet on the external dimensions.
