Competition!

I realize there would be some problems with the logistics involved here, but youall really need to have some regional and/or national shows! I can see the awards now: Best Agitation by a DD washer; Most unusual dishwasher mechanism; Best restoration; Best matching pair, etc. etc. There could be a "beauty pageant", a water extraction competition, suds return race...
Didn't GM show Frigidaires at their Motoramas? I'm picturing rows of washers with their lids up, just like vintage cars.

Funny you mention that ......

I was telling a good friend about wanting to go to a Wash-in or a convention of vintage mchines.....she thought I was crazy.....to want to spend my vacation doing laundry....I asked her: was it really that different from people getting together with restored vintage cars and driving them around in a circle ?

Tom, it IS one of the most fun vacations there is taknig laundry and playing with the vintage machines. (someone give me a cigarette)
