Okay.. I was trying to bleach something earlier tonight, and I almost FREAKED when I saw the suds my front loader was making.

You know, last time I used bleach (years ago) it didn't do this, but I understand now, that it's more concentrated and thicker, but, does it have some sort of Foaming Agent now?

I run 3 Cups of Vinegar through my front loader every week, so there's never any buildup. (Yes, I know that's excessive, but I LOVE how sparkly the Drum looks afterwards).

I'm using the Great Value Bleach (no scent), with 8.25 Sodium Hypochlroite.

Anyone know why this would happen?

I'll have to keep an eye on that. I purchased a gallon of Great Value HE bleach recently, and will begin using it in a week or two (when my current jug of Clorox runs out). Haven't noticed sudsing issues with Clorox.

I'm not aware a sudsing agent has been added to liquid chlorine bleach. Maybe it was reacting with the detergent you were using.

Did you use half the recommended amount in your FL? Bleach used to be 5.25% NaOCl so this is much stronger and the alkaline boost would probably cut loose any constraints on sudsing in your detergent. Maybe you should try to bleach in non-detergent water.
