A Big Hi to everyone! We talked to the caterer this morning and found out that we have a little more time to turn in our final list for the convention. I know that there are others out there that have not made up their minds yet or have just not gotten around to sending in the registration yet. Here is another chance for you to do so if you wish. I will be going out of town on June 11th and will return on the 14th. I will need to have your registration and payment arrive here no later than Wednesday June 15th so we can get the correct numbers into the caterer. This will be the last date that we will be able to take them. I will be leaving here on the 16th and will not be returning until after the convention. So if your registration was to arrive after the 16th we would have no record of it. I would really appreciate it if you would get them in as soon as possible. I know that we are going to have a great time and I can't wait to see all of you!!Following is a list of registrations that I have recieved. If I have missed your name please let me know. Also if I misspell a name please forgive me. Several others of you have contacted me but I am only listing names of those for which I have recived a hard copy of their registration. I will post future updates as I get your registrations. Thanks again to everyone for all of your help and cooperation, you've all been great!!

Just as I was throwing another load into the little GE...we have a preliminary list!! WOOHOO!!!!

I counted 43 people here...bet there will be a lot more though! This is gonna be GREAT!
 
A big thank you to Terry for keeping track of everyone and processing the information on meal choices, arrival times, accomodation plans, t-shirts, etc. for all of this!! Your help is so much appreciated, it has freed so much time up for me to work on some of the treasures we'll be enjoying in a few weeks.

Thanks again Terry for all your hard work!

Have you guys and girls been getting your electronic tickets?
 
The countdown to Convention 2005 is on!

Wow! Convention time is getting closer! Thank you so much Greg and Terry for all your efforts in putting this thing together! I know how difficult it can be to coordinate an event like this! Kudos to both of you! :-)

BTW, I haven't received an *electronic* or any other kind of ticket. Should I be concerned?

Convention 2005

Hi Terry. Thank you for all your hard work. Roger and I will be driving to Omaha from Tucson and we are looking forward to it. It is going to be so much fun to meet the other members of the club. A great big thank you to for you and greg for all your efforts.

Electronic Tickets

Those little tickets are really just for fun. I have a good friend that was married to a Maytag distributor's daughter and at one time, they owned several laundromats or "Highlander Centers" as they were called. Those tickets were used in place of quarters or other coin in the machines. When you came into the center, you bought the number of tickets you needed (one per load) and didn't have to fumble with change for each machine. They had a bunch of tickets and free load promotional envelopes left over from back in the 70's so we thought it would be a fun way to use them up by sending them as confirmation for the convention. If you haven't received them yet, don't worry, they will come shortly.
 
Nebraska Here I Come.

My boss was toying with me and did not approve Friday 24-Jun-05 as a day off.

I was heartbroken and had already bought a plane ticket.

Teh day was subsequently approved.

(Should I mention we are a 5-person operation and people take off to pretty much shampoo their dog?)

No matter- the universe provides and I will be there in person to torture all of you.

CAN'T WAIT CAN'T WAIT.

A big THANKS to all of you for your kind words. I have really enjoyed doing this. I know that we are going to have a great time. Doesn't seem possible that in just three short weeks we will all be meeting. Venus, yours and Austin's tickets should be there today or tomorrow. I mailed them all on Tuesday for the registrations I had. Please keep me posted. Terry

Omaha - Here we come!

Thanks and kudos to Greg and Terry for putting this all together. I know how much work and sweat go into these things. Charlie and I are looking forward to our drive across the plains from the Windy City! Charlie will be flying in from Charlotte and then off we go. Can't wait. When I opened the envelope with the electronic ticket, it brought back memories. These were used in the Maytag washers we had at the dorms at Northern Illinois University. I am not going to disclose the year however! The only problem was when they ran out of the tickets at the front desk (which they did). The machines were useless without them.

Terry, as always, the awesome, calm, steady individual you are. Who better than you to have the task of organizing and getting material in and out for the onvention. I can't wait to see all of you, my old cronies and the future new ones!!! Bob
 
Terry, I am curious--can you match up club aliases with the names above? I mean, our den mother Venus and Bethann I can figure out, as well as the old timers, but can't quite figure out everyone. :-)
