Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Coolerator was a division of International Telephone & Telegraph (IT&T, or later, just ITT) located in Duluth, Minnesota. They were most known for making iceboxes -- refrigerators that used blocks of ice instead of mechanical refrigeration, as it was then called. At some point, they started making other appliances. It was a growth industry after WWII. One of our Australian friends posted pics of his Coolerator mecahnical fridge a couple of years ago.

IT&T also made Capehart and Farnsworth radios and TVs.

I have an old Better Homes & Gardens with an ad for range touting the timing device that could control 5 different parts of the stove: the master oven, the smaller oven, the giant 8 inch surface unit, the deepwell or the appliance outet. Thanks for the link.
