At FIVE HUNDRED BUCKS???? The only appeal for me on this one are those killer door pulls. Surely this thing's not worth more than $75-100 unless you HAVE to have it....

That's closer to 1970.  The pulls Coldspot was putting on their boxes back then were unusually low.  We had a lesser model from 1975 with just plain chrome pulls and my dad had a service tech turn them upside down under warranty, and even after that they were still below waist level.

Door pulls are a make or break issue

for placement....have to agree. But I have to admit that I'm a sucker for that teardrop design.

and appreciate what your dad did, Ralph. Height is not my issue, so I'd probably live with its teardrop arrangement.
