HI everyone! I have several pieces of Corning Ware, the ones with the blue flowers on the side. Can these be used not only in the oven, but on top of the stove as well?
I have both electric and gas stoves and would like to know if it would be ok to use on the burners as well. Thanks for your help, Gary

Gary, my mom used hers on her gas range and I obtained the same pieces when their final apartment was closed down and I used it on my coil electric range.  Also use them in the microwave and oven.

They work well on flat top electric stove. I have a handle that clips on and you can use larger casseroles as a fry pan or smaller as a sauce pan. There are some on Etsy. We have corning that is 47 years old given to us when we married and it still looks good. We enjoy using it.

My 18 year old French white set is stovetop safe...the new ones are not so I have not purchased anymore.  If I find some at Goodwill or a thrift store I'll get it there.  But I usually buy stuff that will work on induction now anyway since I use my Duxtop PIC most of the time.  I only fire up the gas range for holidays when I need more than one burner.
