Crock Dogs (hot dogs in a slow cooker, when you have the time)

Perfect for when it's too hot to cook indoors or out. Pile as many hot dogs as will fit into your slow cooker (you can pour in a can of beer or make a bed of sauerkraut if you want), put on the lid, cook on High for 2 hours. That's it.

The dogs touching the stoneware will take on a little char and the ones farthest away will tan a bit from radiant heat.

That is all. Save some mustard and relish for me.

Hmmmm.  I know someone who is hosting a casual after-parade party on the 4th, and it will just be hot dogs and beer.  I might have to mention this to her.
