Whats everyone using at the moment to wash their laundry??

Im using Aldis Almat Bio/Non Bio Tablets and Anco So Soft Naturals Jojoba Conditioner :)

also have some Formil 2in1 Tablets with Aloe Vera freshness

Im using One tablet per wash (Two on heavy soiled washes) and getting good results with these, Non Bio is excellent on whites, Cleans like a detergent should without a heavy overpowering fragrance.

The Anco so soft conditioner smells like comfort creme that they used to sell, but its very watery and flows through the conditioner reservoir well without any gunge or clogging.

Im a fan of Aldi/Lidl Detergents :) I also use Aldis Magnum Original washing up liquid which beat Fairy in Which? tests!!

Link below

Ariel liquid with a touch of downy for light colors
Skip Perfect white (from argentina) + Vanish Crystal White for whites
Purex liquid (U.S., but bought in Paraguay) for sheets (can't remember the scent, it's clear green bottle
Tide HE original "stink" liquid for towels
Tide regular original scent (powder) for a white Christian Dior duvet.
Purex 3 in 1 laundry sheets for a gray and blue duvet
Skip Clycerine Complex powder (Argentina) for jeans
Skip Perfect black powder (argentina) for blacks
Woolite powder (argentina) for delicate items.
Ala matic (Sun-something, can't remember, the yellow bag from Argentina) for cleaning towels
Persil (german) for kitchen towels.

Softener: Downy (all of the 5 scents, changing every week) for almost everything Comfort concentrated (pink) for cleaning towels and kitchen towels (until i finish my stock)

Dryer sheet: Suavitel (U.S.) for clothes, never on towels, when I remember to use it.

Daily driver washers: Electrolux Ecoturbo (Frigidaire Afinity), Electrolux LTA15 Acquajet (huge top loader with agitator 15kg capacity), Electrolux LE750 (standard euro front loader 5kg capacity), Drean Family (Horizontal axis top loader, semi automatic, no spin cycle but wonderful machine from argentina), Hotpoint Aqualtis washer-dryer also bought in Argentina.

Daily driver dryers: Electrolux Ecoturbo TRD17 (love it) and Mueller Solaris static dryer (to dry sneakers), But I'm reducing lots of environmental impact by line drying (and use the dryer only to fluff the towels after they are almost dry)

Daily driver Iron (Yes, i like to iron everything including sheets and t-shirts) Arno Optimo with separate steam generator.

Best of all, I'm getting clothes cleaner than when I was using hot water. Everything done in cold water. I use warm water for whites and super hot water for towels.

Here are mine... Until May at least!

Here are my daily driver chemicals for the time being as well as my daily driver washer! I was very fortunate to find a loophole in the rule book that allows me to bring my own washer to my dorm! Just had to build a special wardrobe to house it in which I was able to do with the help of my grandpa!

FOCA is our daily driver detergent. On occasion we will try to use the Tide Compact. But the resulting wash smells like a HE chemical dump when done. So we compensate by adding some Downy Simple Pleasure Spice Blossom softener to cover up that smell.[this post was last edited: 9/8/2011-17:38]

hmmmm ... I collect detergents so I have also a lot to choose as a daily driver

Now I am using:

MAXITRAT powder (Lidl retail store brand) - for whites
TIDE powder (European, bought in Croatia) - for whites
FORMIL Color powder (Lidl retail store brand) - for colors
ARIEL Color liquitabs - for colors and darks
CHEER powder (USA) - for colors
ARM & HAMMER powder (USA) - for towels
ERA liquid (USA) - for jeans
OMINO BIANCO aloe vera (Italy) - for delicates and less dirty colored loads
TANDIL (Aldi/ Hofer brand) - for rugs

Softeners: Lenor, Vernel (liquid and crystals)
Dryer Sheets: Bounce (USA), DM (German drugstore store brand, bought here in Slovenia)

All the pictures of my detergents you can see on my Blog:

Gorenje

I love your blog, I really miss Lenor Care fabric conditioner, My favourite was Alpine Fresh, and Oriental Blossom (the pink cap one)

i also remember Bold Summer Meadow fresh, in the 90s as my mum used to use that in our Whirlpool :)

what a great collection of detergents you have :)

gorenje

yeah i remember that Lenor, I really liked those bottles.

in the 90s detergent packaging looked rather classy, I always liked the packaging of Ariel Ultra/Ariel Futur. I even have an Ariel Ultra Tin that I bought from ebay :D

I remember that Daz Packaging as well, the mealtime mess magnets one and the Daz Automatic box. I bet that 1990s Daz smells lush, i always liked the smell of Daz, it still smells good but the cleaning isn't as good as it used to be.

Sears Untra Plus in the orange box for everything but underwear.  For underwear I'm using Tide Free and Gentle.

I also use either Borax, Biz, Clororox 2, or Publix liquid non-chlorine bleach on colors.

On whites and towels I use regular Clorox.

Right now I'm using a huge 187 load bottle of Snuggle Free and Clear fabric softner I bought at Sam's Club for $7.97.  Going back this weekend for another.

I tend not to open the detergents I purchase for the collection, but sometimes I do.
That old DAZ from the 1990's I've used it and I remember it was very good.

The newer ones I've received I've leaved unused to keep them intact but also because I was told that are not as good as it used to be.
I have to say that for me the most interesting scent of those times was the scent of the FAIRY powder.

DeSoto Chemical

I was told in an earlier thread after I bought another box and found it had changed and I really liked the last box but this new one purchased is different, sudsier for some reason so I'm not really liking the rinsing part as it was causing some issues. So now I'm searching for a new HE powder, if I can find one. I have tried Persils but it is expensive and I cannot get Ariel powder delivered to me so my guess is if I did I'd be paying almost as much as I did for Persils brand. You have qite the collection gorenje. Thanks for sharing :)
